#109 van loon museum

On Friday I had my first appointment with the chiropractor. It was amazing! He clicked and cracked some of my bones & pushed me around a bit. And I felt sooo much better! He was Australian, which just means there will be no humiliating language confusion mistakes. Hurrah! I am going back on Tuesday.

On Saturday Lee & I used our museumkaarts to go to the Museum Van Loon. It’s a fabulous big home facing onto Keizersgracht, still owned by the same family.


Ferdinand Bol the painter lived here & there was an exhibition in the coachhouse.

Everything was fabulous. We especially loved the garden and coach house. My favourite room:


Beautiful. There was a little cafe in the Basement. We’ll come for a coffee in that garden in the summer.

Then we popped to the Volkskruidentuin, Lee’s fave Iranian herbs & spices shop, got some dried mulberries. Yum! And passed this hilarious steampunk chip shop:
