I met Vanessa at the ING bank in Amstelveen, to open myself an account in which Lee will deposit my housekeeping money each week. Vanessa was there to argue for me, as I keep getting knocked back constantly! Thankfully she didn’t need to and the bank employee boy, who looked all of 16, opened the account with no fuss. Hurrah!
Then I got some keys cut to replace the 5, yes 5! That we’ve lost in a year, and I received an email saying we should get the new house contract tomorrow.
From yesterday morning my head really started to clear up, thanks be to God! And I feel like I can get on with things. I shall reinstate the Teenagers Chores Rota™ this very afternoon. Boom!
Praying through lots of bible verses about the Lordship of God really brought me alive!
Look how cute this is. One butterfly is knitting and the other is crochet:
Vanessa has some garden chairs and a gas BBQ for us. I’ve never had a BBQ… as a vegetarian who doesn’t enjoy grilled courgettes, I’ve avoided them mostly. But it’ll be fun to try it for ourselves.
I packed literally 2 boxes yesterday. I need to get on!
So, in the evening…Lily cooked dinner, Frank tidied sitting room + emptied bins/put out the recycling. Robin did a load of laundry and George loaded the dishwasher and cleared the kitchen surfaces. Wahoo, my genius rota is back on! 🙋🙌🎉🎆
