On friday I had the genius idea of hanging around by the shop in the centre of De Kwakel, while Frank did the paper round, so I was available if he had a problem. (He hasn’t got a phone). It went really well, there was only one address he couldn’t find. We both want him to do it independently of course! A paper round sounds so simple. But there’s a lot to get right and in a strict time frame. I am really enjoying the exercise and spending that amount of time with Frank away from screens. (We do play computer games together every day in the hols).
So that worked again today.
I sat next to this cheerful and well-mannered bin and read my latest book, “How to stop time” by Matt Haig. It’s about a man who ages slowly, so he’s been alive about 500 years but looks about 40.
