#304 islands

In the morning I had a phone chat with my lovely friend and ex-neighbour. It was just like popping next door in the old times! She’s a super lady!

Robin and I got a bus and tram to the manmade islands East of central Amsterdam. We had lunch, then went in the historical Lloyd Hotel. But we were disappointed to find it’s been bought, refurbished and has lost loads of period details and character. Still, it had these colourful chairs!

We walked around, it was sunny but not quite warm.

There are lots of independent/small designer shops as you enter the islands. Such as the Pindakaaswinkel – the peanut butter shop. And this colourful camping place.
